I’m running a focused search for Sales Development Representative (SDR / BDR) roles and need a virtual assistant to own the application pipeline.
This is not a “send 50 generic applications” job. I want relevant roles, tailored materials, clean tracking, and follow-ups. Quality over volume.
What you’ll do
- Source open SDR / BDR roles that match the criteria I provide (title, industry, company size, location/remote, comp floor)
- Log every role in a shared tracker (Google Sheet or Airtable) with company, link, date found, status, and next step
- Tailor my resume bullets and a short application note or cover blurb for each role — no copy-paste spam
- Submit applications on job boards and company career sites after I approve the weekly target list (or same-day for strong fits)
- Save confirmation screenshots or email receipts in the tracker
- Send light follow-ups where a contact is public (recruiter or hiring manager on LinkedIn), using messages I approve
- Send a short weekly summary: roles found, applications submitted, responses, and blockers
What you will not do
- Invent experience or change facts on my resume
- Message people from my personal accounts without approval
- Apply to roles outside the criteria unless you flag them first
Tools
LinkedIn, Indeed, Wellfound, company career pages, Greenhouse / Lever / Workday-style forms, Google Sheets or Airtable, Gmail. I’ll share a resume master, target criteria, and login approach on day one.
Requirements
- Clear, professional written English
- Organized and accurate with forms, links, and status updates
- Comfortable tailoring resume bullets for sales roles
- Reliable 20+ hours/week for at least the next 4 weeks
- Overlap with US Central Time (I’m in the Chicago area) for questions and approvals
- Examples of similar work: job-application support, recruiting coordination, or sales-ops admin
Nice to have
- You’ve supported an SDR, BDR, or AE job search before
- You know common ATS fields and how to avoid junk applications
- You can spot a real SDR seat vs. a mislabeled closing role
How we’ll work
1. Kickoff: criteria, resume master, tracker template, voice for notes
2. You build a target list; I approve
3. You tailor and submit, then update the tracker the same day
4. Weekly review of what worked and what to drop
Trial: first week paid. If the tracker is clean and the applications are actually tailored, we continue.
To apply, include
1. Your weekly availability and timezone
2. Whether you prefer the hybrid rate above or a flat weekly retainer — and your number
3. How many tailored job applications you can realistically submit in a 20-hour week
4. One short sample: 3 resume bullets rewritten for an SDR role at a B2B SaaS company (use a generic background if you don’t have mine yet: quota-carrying retail or service sales, cold outreach, CRM use)
5. A link or short description of a tracker you’ve kept for a client
Generic proposals will be skipped.
