About the role
Arkscale Ventures is building a recruitment desk, and we are looking for the person to run and grow it in a niche they already know. You win client companies, look after them, and deliver the work: sourcing, screening and placing candidates for them. You lead the desk; we provide the brand, the company set up and the whole back office (website, email, CRM, client terms, invoicing), and we fund the tools and outreach.
Pay
- US$1,000 a month guaranteed salary from day one, paid whatever the desk earns.
- Plus a monthly bonus of 15% of the desk's profit during the trial period, rising to 30% after it.
Responsibilities
- Win client companies in your niche and agree the roles and fees with them.
- Source, screen and place candidates, and keep clients and candidates looked after through to placement.
- Build a repeatable pipeline of clients, and report the desk's numbers each month.
- As the desk grows, help hire and lead the team that works on it.
Hours
Full time, remote, with flexible hours that overlap UK and US business hours.
Who this is for
- You have personally won client companies for recruitment work over the last two or three years, and can tell us roughly how many, how you found them and the fees they paid.
- You know a niche well and want to lead a desk in it, full time.
There are no fees and no investment: candidates never pay anything.
To apply, please answer these three questions in your application:
1. What do you understand this role to be, and why does it interest you?
2. Which niche would you build the desk in, and why do you think you can make it a success?
3. Where do your clients come from? Tell us about the client companies you have won yourself over the last two or three years: roughly how many, who they were, how you found them and got the first meeting, the fees they paid, and how long it usually takes you from first contact to the first placement. We are looking for someone who wins clients again and again in a niche they know, not someone with one good story, so the more of the pattern we can see the better.
Applications without these three answers are not reviewed.
