About Wonder Math
Wonder Math is a live, online math education company helping elementary and middle-school students become stronger, more confident math learners.
We're looking for an experienced Math Curriculum & Assessment Specialist to create and improve curriculum, lessons, quizzes, and assessments for U.S. students in Grades 2–7.
Responsibilities
Develop engaging math curriculum aligned with U.S. Common Core and state standards
Create lessons, activities, practice problems, quizzes, and assessments
Develop assessments that measure both conceptual understanding and problem-solving
Identify common student misconceptions and create materials to address them
Create differentiated materials for students at different ability levels
Review and improve existing Wonder Math curriculum
Work with teachers to identify opportunities to improve our curriculum
Organize curriculum into logical grade-level and skill-level progressions
Use AI tools when appropriate to accelerate curriculum development while ensuring accuracy and quality
Qualifications
Required:
Strong background in mathematics education
Experience creating math curriculum, lessons, or assessments
Strong understanding of U.S. elementary and middle-school math
Familiarity with Common Core Math Standards
Excellent written English
Strong understanding of how children learn math
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
Experience teaching U.S. students
Experience with instructional design or online education
Experience working with students who struggle with math
Ideal Candidate
You understand more than how to write math problems. You understand why students get problems wrong and how to design lessons and assessments that identify and address those misunderstandings.
Compensation
$14 - $18 Per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Part-time or full-time. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term relationship with Wonder Math.
