Chapterframe is an AI production studio for Mac and Windows that turns audiobooks, plays and narrated stories into films. Authors, narrators and creators bring their own audio. Chapterframe helps them build consistent characters and worlds, direct scenes with keyframes and takes, render on their own choice of AI services or rented GPUs, and export finished video. We sell a desktop license with a 7-day free trial, and we care about giving storytellers creative control over every frame.
We are a small, product-led team. This is our first dedicated marketing role, and you will shape how Chapterframe is introduced to the world.
You will own Chapterframe's marketing from top of funnel to paid license. You will work out who our best customers are, tell our story in a way they recognize, and build the channels that bring them to a trial and through to purchase. This is a hands-on role: you will plan the strategy and also write, publish, launch and measure it yourself.
• Define positioning and messaging for our core audiences: audiobook authors and narrators, indie publishers, playwrights, and story-driven video creators.
• Own the go-to-market plan for each release, including launch announcements, release notes, demo videos and outreach.
• Grow trial downloads and trial-to-paid conversion. Work with the founder on onboarding, sample projects and in-app messaging.
• Run content marketing: tutorials, showcase films made with Chapterframe, case studies, blog posts and newsletters.
• Build our presence on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Reddit, and in author, narrator and AI filmmaking communities.
• Find and manage partnerships with creators, audiobook platforms, writing communities and AI tool ecosystems.
• Manage paid acquisition tests (search, social, creator sponsorships) within a set budget, and scale what works.
• Own the website copy and landing pages at , and work on SEO and conversion improvements.
• Set up and report on marketing metrics using GA4 and in-app analytics: traffic, downloads, trial starts, conversions and customer acquisition cost.
• Collect customer feedback and stories, and bring what you learn back to the product roadmap.
• 4+ years in marketing, with at least 2 years at a software, creative tools or consumer subscription company.
• A record of growing a product from early traction, with numbers to show for it.
• Excellent writing. You can explain a technical creative tool in plain, human language.
• Comfort making and editing short-form video, or working closely with people who do.
• Hands-on experience with web analytics (GA4 or similar), email marketing tools and paid social or search.
• Self-direction. You are comfortable as the only marketer on a small team, and you set your own priorities.
• Real interest in storytelling, books, film or generative AI.
• Experience marketing desktop software, Mac apps or creative tools (video, audio, design).
• Connections in the audiobook, self-publishing or narrator communities.
• Experience with product-led growth: free trials, onboarding funnels and lifecycle email.
• Experience with AI video or image tools, and a thoughtful view of how creators feel about AI.
• Basic HTML/CSS for editing landing pages.
First 30 days: Learn the product end to end, talk to customers, audit the website and funnel, and set baseline metrics.
First 90 days: Publish a positioning and messaging guide, launch a regular content and social schedule, run the first paid and partnership tests, and ship a monthly metrics report.
First 12 months: Steady, measurable growth in trial downloads and paid licenses, with at least two repeatable acquisition channels.
Every engagement starts with a two-week paid trial. You will be paid a flat USD $500 for the trial, whatever the outcome. During those two weeks you will work on real Chapterframe marketing tasks, such as a short audit of our website and funnel, a first set of social posts or a small campaign plan, so we can both see how we work together.
If the trial is successful, we will extend your contract at the ongoing rate listed above. If it is not the right fit for either side, the engagement ends after the trial and you keep the full $500.
• Shape the brand and growth of a new creative AI product from the ground up.
• Work directly with the founder, with real ownership and little bureaucracy.
• Fully remote work with flexible hours.
Send your resume and a short note about a product you helped grow, with what you did and what changed, to . Links to writing samples, campaigns or videos you made are very welcome. Please also include a few sentences on how you would introduce Chapterframe to audiobook authors.
