Fundraising & Development Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Fundraising & Development Associate to help expand our
fundraising efforts and build meaningful partnerships that support our mission.
In this role, you will identify and engage potential donors, businesses, churches, foundations, civic organizations,
and community partners through professional outreach. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who
enjoys building relationships, is highly organized, and is motivated by achieving measurable results. This is a fulltime,
remote position with opportunities for performance-based commissions tied to successfully secured funding
and sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Research and identify prospective donors, businesses, sponsors, churches, foundations, civic organizations,
and community partners.
• Build and maintain targeted prospect lists using online research and approved resources.
• Conduct professional outreach through email, phone calls, LinkedIn, and other approved communication
channels.
• Present the organization's Water Well Project and Girls' Dormitory Project in a compelling, respectful, and
mission-focused manner.
• Schedule meetings and follow-up conversations with interested donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, outreach activities, donor status, communications, and follow-up
schedules using CRM systems or spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparing fundraising emails, sponsorship proposals, donor updates, presentations, and thank-you
communications.
• Track outreach metrics, including prospects researched, messages sent, calls completed, follow-ups
conducted, meetings scheduled, and funding commitments.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve fundraising strategies, outreach messaging, and donor engagement.
• Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and respect in all communications.

Qualifications

Required
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and sending professional emails.
• Ability to conduct online research and organize prospect information accurately.
• Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) or Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, spreadsheets, or similar tracking tools.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Able to manage multiple priorities while meeting weekly performance goals.

Preferred
• Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, donor relations, or sponsorship development.
• Background in B2B sales, business development, appointment setting, or lead generation.
• Experience researching grants, foundations, or philanthropic organizations.
• Experience working remotely with U.S.-based organizations.
• Experience engaging businesses, churches, civic organizations, or community groups.
