Funkit designs short-term rentals across the US. Hiring a Design Support person on a full-time contract, fully remote. This is the checkpoint between design and execution - a beautiful design that can't be bought is worthless, and this role catches the wrong quantity, the dead link, and the sofa that ships in November. It needs a design background and a good eye, but it's the technical, organisational, sourcing and quality-control side of design rather than the conceptual side - you need to know why a product is wrong, not just that a cell is empty.

The work:
- Review project shopping spreadsheets - product information, links, quantities, pricing, specifications
- Confirm selected items suit the project and match the approved design
- Check availability and source backup options that hold the intended look, function, quality and budget
- Review install guides so install teams have clear placement, quantities and design intent
- Flag inconsistencies to the design team

What we look for:
- Background in interior design, architecture, industrial design or related
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort researching and sourcing from US vendors, and working across high-volume spreadsheets
- Fluent English, availability overlapping US Central and US vendor hours
- FF&E schedules, spec sheets or procurement tracker experience is directly relevant

What you get:
- Base of $1,000-3,000 USD/month, set at the interview depending on the contract, your experience and the hours you take on - the spread is wide because we hire globally
- Fully remote, full-time contract
