We are a U.S.-based freight brokerage looking for an experienced B2B Cold Caller / Shipper Prospecting Specialist to join our team full-time.
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify and contact U.S. shippers, speak with shipping and logistics decision makers, develop relationships, and build a strong pipeline of potential customers for our freight brokerage.
We are especially interested in candidates who already have experience working with a freight brokerage, 3PL, logistics company, trucking company, or in B2B transportation sales.
Responsibilities
• Prospect and cold call U.S.-based shippers and manufacturers.
• Identify and reach the correct decision makers, including Shipping Managers, Logistics Managers, Transportation Managers, Warehouse Managers, Supply Chain Managers, and similar positions.
• Ask qualifying questions to understand the shipper’s freight needs, current lanes, equipment requirements, and challenges with their existing transportation providers.
• Build relationships with prospects and position our company as a reliable primary or backup freight broker.
• Generate qualified leads, appointments, quote opportunities, and potential new shipper accounts.
• Build and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
• Research companies and decision-makers using prospecting tools such as Apollo and other available resources.
• Maintain accurate prospect information, follow-up dates, and notes in our CRM.
• Send professional follow-up emails and consistently follow up with promising prospects.
What We Are Looking For
We prefer someone with previous experience in freight brokerage prospecting, logistics sales, 3PL sales, or shipper cold calling.
The ideal candidate should have:
• Strong spoken and written English
• Proven cold-calling and B2B sales experience
• Experience speaking with U.S. businesses
• Knowledge of freight brokerage, trucking, logistics, or transportation
• Experience prospecting and qualifying shippers
• Strong objection-handling and communication skills
• Experience with CRM and lead-generation/prospecting software
• Ability to work independently and consistently follow up
• A reliable computer, internet connection, and professional work environment
This is not primarily a dispatching, carrier sales, tracking, or administrative VA position. The main focus is SHIPPER PROSPECTING, COLD CALLING, PIPELINE DEVELOPMENT, AND NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.
We are looking for someone who understands that successful freight sales requires consistent prospecting and follow-up—not simply making calls. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with shippers and turn qualified prospects into active customers.
